Congratulations

The Oregon Coast is one of the premier destinations for weddings in the world. We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph in such wonderful location.

Malia and Jason selected Camp Westwind about six miles north of Lincoln City for their unique wedding overlooking the Pacific Ocean in a beautiful and colorful day.

Most of the guest arrived to the camp by boat. Since we were carrying a lot of photo equipment we decided to drive through an almost hidden little road to the camp. When we arrived we were delighted to see all the natural beauty of the area. It consisted of miles of pristine beach of a unique beauty, which became the perfect backdrop to Malia and Jason’s beautiful pictures.

The outdoor ceremony took place over the warm beach sand surrounded by a majestic forest. It was very moving to watch Malia and her dad walk though the sand trails to get to the ceremony location. The joy overcame both Malia and Jason.

After the ceremony we took a stroll to the beach with the wedding party for a fun photo session. Although the fog was a challenge, we managed to capture outstanding images. In fact, we feel it added a magical touch to their photos.

When we returned to the reception place at Wilson Lodge, all the guests gathered around for a fun group picture. The guests enjoyed gourmet martinis during the cocktail hour, which was followed by a delicious dinner. The toasts were most moving and it didn’t take long for the partying and dancing to start. Everyone was out on the dance floor, from grandparents to grandchildren. Most of the guests ended up spending the night at the camp. This wedding was true celebration of love, family and friendship.

Testimonial from the Mother of the Groom
Juan Carlos’ photography exceeded all expectations. His talent, not just for taking photos, but for capturing essences is joyfully portrayed in these photos. He certainly understood Malia and Jason and depicted their wedding celebration with poetic expression. While photographing the wedding, he and Sandra were right there for the important moments. They honored Malia and Jason’s ceremony and celebration with sincerity, enthusiasm and professionalism. The photographs posted here really demonstrate that. I cannot wait to see more of them. Malia and Jason are a blessed couple and the memories that these photos will provide are a testament to that. As the new Mother-in-law, I especially like the groom and his groom’s-men lined up in sunglasses as though the photo was intended for an album cover. Juan Carlos got it so right with this one and Jason looks so cool, no wonder Malia is crazy about him.

Bravo, Juan Carlos.
